Sound Projects includes three sound reactive projects; Argos , Stay Calm and Interactive Impromptu and was exhibited together in Sungkyun gallery, Korea. All works were created with Processing or Isadora.
‘Argos’ is a sound-reactive screen installation. The space is full of noise. The piece seems like a picture of closed-eyes. We hear a sound, and we detect the source of that sound by eyes. When the audience makes louder sound than the space has, all eyes will wake up and gaze at the audience all at once.
‘Stay calm’ is a sound-reactive screen installation that reacts to sound inputs. The real- time video will be altered to colored dots by sound level. When the audience makes a loud sound, he cannot recognize himself on real- time video anymore. The title of this piece is irony. So this piece represents people’s overreaction, overexcitement, and agitation geometrically with dots.
‘Interactive Impromptu’ is an interactive projection mapping installation that reacts to sound inputs. 12 cubes are arranged for an orchestra. Random colored squares and real-time videos are mapped on cubes. By making sound, the audience becomes the conductor of this colorful impromptu.
